Optical-Sensor-Based Nitrogen Management in Oat for Yield Enhancement

چکیده

The deficiency of nitrogen (N) in soil restricts agricultural productivity and its overdosage pollutes the atmosphere. Nitrogen is a vital component protein, chlorophyll various physiological processes. When it applied at recommended dose, may be lost through fixation, leaching, volatilization denitrification, etc. Therefore, there dire need to harmonize supply according crop requirements. Under this situation, precision management one best options. GreenSeekerTM an integrated optical sensor with variable application rate mapping system that measures crops’ To ascertain abovementioned facts, research study was conducted National Agriculture Research Center, Islamabad, Pakistan, examine response fodder oat (N0 = control, N1 80 kg ha−1 basal N2 40 + split doses, N3 one-time N4 20 two-time GreenSeekerTM) seed (S1 80, S2 100, S3 120 S4 140 ha−1). Data were recorded on agronomic aspects economic analysis performed for GreenSeekerTM-based N against conventional dose application. Mean values showed greater number tillers plant−1 (6), fresh weight (16572 kg) photosynthetic (11.64 mmol m−2 s−1) noted treatment (20 GreenSeekerTM). Greater plant height (70.8 cm) leaf area (64.14 cm2) (40 doses) as compared control. effects forecasted NDVI. results suggested (18 ha−1) managed by GreenSeeker PARC Oat cultivar produced maximum NDVI value (0.68) booting stage among all treatments. correlation tillering stages green yield positive (R2 0.80). can good depictive early later growth under agro-climatic conditions Pakistan. Based results, apply initial along obtaining more oat. In Crux, N1, total achieve estimated net profitability USD 582.13. With N4, 58 used 836.16; therefore, found environmentally safe (80

Nitrogen yield and nitrogen use of chickpea compared to pea, barley and oat in Central Europe

European agriculture suffers from a substantial deficit of protein sources forlivestock and the projected changes in agro-climatic conditions in Central Europeinclude a higher risk of drought. To address these challenges, the drought resistantlegume crop chickpea was compared with pea, barley and oat regarding its nitrogen(N) yield, protein yield and N use and utilization efficiency under Centr...

Optical pH Sensor Based on Quinizarin for Alkaline pH Regions

The development of an optical pH sensor based on immobilization of quinizarin (1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone) on a triacetylcellulose membrane was described. The resulting membrane exhibited fast color change from yellow to violet, while changing the pH in alkaline region. The immobilized quinizarin showed a broader dynamic range from (pH 9.4-11.4) with respect to free form (pH 8.8-10.4). The sens...

Optical Sensor-Based Algorithm for Crop Nitrogen Fertilization*

Nitrogen (N) fertilization for cereal crop production does not follow any kind of generalized methodology that guarantees maximum nitrogen use efficiency (NUE). The objective of this work was to amalgamate some of the current concepts for N management in cereal production into an applied algorithm. This work at Oklahoma State University from 1992 to present has focused primarily on the use of o...
